Description
The Marblehead Lighthouse was built in 1821, making it the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on all of the Great Lakes. It's located on the shores of Lake Erie across a bay from the Cedar Point Amusement Park which is visible from the lighthouse. The towns of Marblehead, Port Clinton, Put-In-Bay on South Bass Island are all nearby. The lighthouse is situated about halfway between the bigger cities of Toledo and Cleveland in northern Ohio.
