Artist's Description
This is Annie, the Merritt Island, Fl River Dragon as she looked in 1998. The sculpture was destroyed by storms a few years later. The property was owned by a bank for a number of years. There was a push by th community to have a new sculpture built. A new owner (2015) is renovating the house on the property and has said he has plans for a new but different dragon with 2 heads. The original sculptor was Louis VanDercar. This image appeared in a children's book called "River Dragon" By Diane Carr and illustrated by Java John. Goldacker. This is not a public domain image.
