Artist's Description

This is the historic City Point Community Church. The church was built in 1885 and was used be several denominations including Methodist and Baptist. The church was also used as a school until 1924. It is located on North Indian River Drive and faces the Indian River. It is currently owned by Brevard County which bought it to preserve some local history and uses it for access to the Indian river and as a meeting place. The sign at the porch says Brevard Heritage Council.
