About Bradford Martin

Bradford Martin My career as a photographer began as an outgrowth of my love of nature and the outdoors and my work as a field biologist and my training as an environmental educator. I love sharing what I see almost as much as seeing it. I do all my photos from both the standpoints of documentation of the world and art.

I bought a film camera with the objective of documenting the wildlife I was studying, and I soon decided that this was going to be an important part of my life. I immersed myself in photography and learned everything I could.

It was not long before I was giving presentations and getting published, and then people wanted prints. That led to doing art shows and getting space in a gallery. Eventually I decided to offer my prints primarily through the internet. Now hundreds of people enjoy these photos hanging in homes and offices around the world.

I consider myself an editorial photographer in the tradition of National Geographic and other magazines. In fact, I have been published by Nat Geo and many other magazines. My images have been used in websites for the states of Florida and Georgia as well as gracing the covers of fiction and nonfiction books. I approach my subjects with a strong graphic style and try to be informative as well as artistic.

I was born and raised on Long Island in New York and live now in Florida. Along the way I did a lot of work on the Gulf Coast and offshore. I mainly create travel, nature, and maritime imagery.

I have sold hundreds of prints for use in homes and offices around the world.
